present a Special Training Program:

Fire Alarms and the Codes
  • This program includes five short courses for the fire alarm industry that explain the roles, relationships and requirements of building codes, fire codes, and the Life Safety Code with respect to fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Each session is 60 minutes long and will focus on a particular aspect of the fire alarm industry and how it is affected by specific regulations.
  • Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA) members and graduates of the University of Maryland in Fire Protection Engineering receive a $45 discount on the entire program or $10 per session.
  • All sessions will be broadcast live AND taught face-to-face. Participants can attend the live session in person in College Park, MD or virtually.
  • Each session will be recorded and all materials will be made available for participants to complete at their own pace.
