We are currently seeking a Central Station Operator in our Chanhassen, Minnesota location. Day shifts available. This is a rotating shift schedule (every other weekend and holidays). A scheduled day is 10 hours –  will work 30 hours one week, 40 hours the next.  
                                                           
                       
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
 
¨       Monitors and dispatches incoming calls and alarm signals.
¨       Responds to customer calls with prompt, helpful information.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
 
¨       1 year customer service experience
¨       1 year call center experience
¨       35 wpm keyboarding skills
¨       Excellent customer service philosophy
¨       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
¨       Ability to deal with urgent crisis situations in a calm and professional manner.
¨       Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound judgment calls
¨       Security industry experience a plus

We are seeking quality, customer-focused individuals who want to be part of a winning team, and who are passionate about providing excellent customer service. Currently, we are seeking a Designer in our Chanhassen, Minnesota location.
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
·         Responsible for the origination, quality control & coordination between Sales, Operations and Design in regards to product selection and application design for burglar & fire alarm systems.
·         Generates new part/drawing numbers as new product is established and approved by the Technical Pool, Manufacturing, Design, IAR and Sales Departments.
  • Organizes, maintains and distributes drawings of Checkpoint interface panels and application details in coordination and input from design, technical pool, operations, manufacturing and sales.
·         Assembles and distributes documentation (technical bulletin, manuals, schematics, bill of materials, assembly procedure, assembly drawing and a test procedure) with any new product to design, manufacturing, sales and operations.
·         Coordinates with the IS Department in the creation and maintenance of a new tech web site. This site will incorporate new drawings and information as well as a gradual migration of current and legacy documentation. A process will be established for the posting of information from approved sources.
·         Creates new drawings in color to assist the DC panel builders in the manufacturing and maintenance of the associated panels. The CAD files will be e-mailed to Technical Writer to post in their COWIDE folder.
·         Builds the prototype of new interface panels to be manufactured by our DC.
·         Takes digital pictures of new prototype interface panels. Pictures will be forwarded to technical writer for distribution and posting in the Intranet.
·         Conducts training for new hires in operations, design and sales departments on new and existing products for burglar and fire alarm systems.
  • Attends new and existing customer meetings to recommend product application and establish design criteria and expectations.
  • Participates in future efforts with operations and sales in the product selection and design of drawings that can generate future opportunities.
 
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM:
  • Associate Degree from 2-year college/technical school or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience in a designer and/or product manager capacity, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise on latest version of AutoCAD software.
  • Burglar and fire alarms experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
 
PREFERRED:
  • Electrical/architectural drafting experience a plus.
  • Retail and/or loss prevention experience a plus.
  • Supervisory/managerial skills a plus.
