The AFAA has been approached by the NFPA’s Fire Protection Research Foundation to solicit funds in support of a project entitled Development of a Risk-Based Decision Support Tool to Assist Fire Departments in Managing Unwanted Alarms.

The Project Scope is to develop a risk management tool for local fire departments to develop informed strategies to address unwanted alarms in commercial buildings. The framework will include a data collection component, a data analysis and problem diagnosis component, and a strategy design and selection component.
